Driving & Safety

Required Document guidelines for the tuktuk driver’s license.
An International Driving Permit (IDP), also sometimes called an International Driver’s License, is a document that translates your national driver’s license into multiple languages, allowing you to drive legally in countries that require it, when accompanied by your valid national license.
Here’s a more detailed explanation:
- The IDP facilitates communication with authorities and car rental agencies in countries where English isn’t widely spoken, helping to avoid language barriers.
- It’s a translation of your existing driver’s license, not a replacement for it.
- Some countries require an IDP for tourists or visitors to drive legally, while others may not require it.
- IDPs are typically valid for one year from the date of issue.
- You can apply for an IDP through your country Automobile Association
- IDPs are recognized in over 150 countries.
You should report the theft to the police and us right away. We will help you with the insurance and a new tuktuk. Tuktuk theft is very uncommon here, but you need to keep your keys safe.
